ABOUT EKOLOGS

Ecofriendly Solutions Pty Ltd has been manufacturing wood briquettes in the South West of Western Australia since 2004. Saw mill waste and residues are collected and brought to a central facility where briquettes are manufactured.
We sell these under the trading name of Ekologs.

Environmental Benefits of Ekologs

The raw material we use is sourced within a 50 Kms radius of our manufacturing facility. As such emissions used to get the raw material to our site are minimised.
Our process dries and densifies the raw material. This removes moisture and reduces the cubic meterage taken up by our product. The result is that emissions in transport to market are minimised as we can cart a far greater weight of actual wood fuel per vehicle and per cubic meter of space.
We can also stock a greater volume in the space allotted at the individual sites. Again this reduces the total number of deliveries thus reducing the Greenhouse Gas imprint of our product.
When used as a fuel our briquettes create fewer emissions in burning as they burn cleanly due to their low moisture content. International studies indicate that compressed fuels (depending on the raw material) produce up to 20% fewer particulate emissions.
