NEW!!! FLUE SALTS NEW!!!Ecofriendly Solutions had developed a new product called the UNCLOGTM. It was designed to prevent a build up of excessive creosote deposits in your chimney using mineral additives. The additives are environmentally friendly and act as a catalyst, which bind to any developing creosote deposits in a fire, chimney or flue.We have since change tack as the CO2 imprint of delivery to market of such a product was in contradiction to our stated goals of negative CO2 footprint. We now offer the same product in 60g sachets which you can dissolve in 1 litre of water. We call it FLUE SALTS...(no good with swine flu!!!!)We recommend recycling any existing spray bottle for filling and subsequent use.The liquid is applied by spraying onto an existing fire and around the firebox preferably once the fire is mature as this will allow for a slow assent of the mineral vapor up the chimney or flue sections. The vapor will bind to build up of tar in your flue. The reaction causes any buildup to harden into a drier scaly material, which is less flammable and more lightly to detach from the chimney or flue surface. The result is a cleaner flue with a much reduced possibility of flue fire. Use of the FLUE SALTS will assist with your regular chimney sweep and create a better burning environment. This in turn will help to make your stoves or fire burn cleaner and more efficiently. Cleaner chimneys and flues lead to cleaner burning units which in turn leads to reduced emissions and your environmental gain. We recommend using FLUE SALTS once per week. Best used on glowing coals with a low air flow setting. Go on give your flue a dose of SALTS!!! If possible we suggest that the baffle plate in your stove be removed on the following day and the fire burned as usual (Please check with tradie or professional if unsure of this action). While burning with the door closed the flue can be gently tapped to help with detaching any buildup in the flue. Attention!!! Chimneys still require a regular sweep especially if the is any doubt on the moisture content of your fuels.
